Dad: Did you enjoy helping Mummy and Daddy plant seeds in our new vegie patch today Scout?
Scout: Yes, I did.
Dad: Can you remember what we planted?
Scout: Um, yes I can: strawberries … and spinach …
Dad: That’s right, and … chives and basil too.
Scout: Yes.
Dad: OK, good night, sweetheart.
Scout: Daddy?
Dad: Yes, Scout?
Scout: What about lollipops?
Dad: What about them, my dear?
Scout: In the vegie patch.
Dad: Lollipops in the vegie patch?
Scout: Yeah. I want to grow lollies. At a party I saw lollipops in the garden. Let’s grow lollipops!
Dad: I don’t think lollipops grow in the ground, I’m afraid. They’re made in a factory.
Scout: Yeah. And then we can eat the factory!
Dad: Night night, Scout.
Scout: Night night Dad. Oh, Daddy?
Dad: Yes, Scout?
Scout: Say goodnight to Baby Bear too.
Dad: Good night, Baby Bear.
Scout: She says “good night Daddy” too.
